This 1 cent coin, minted in 1984, comes from a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) set. It was produced in France.
The coin is made of stainless steel, giving it a silver color. It weighs 1.65 grams and has a diameter of 15 millimeters, with a thickness of 1.45 millimeters.
The obverse of the coin features a stylized ear of wheat, around which the inscription "république française" is engraved in cursive script. It should be noted that some coins have a particularity: a rim, i.e., an outgrowth of material, visible at the base of the right leaf of the ear. The design of the obverse is the work of Marcel Guilleminet.
The reverse of the coin displays the number "1", representing the face value of the coin, surrounded by the date of issue, "1984", and the inscription "centime" in cursive script. As with the obverse, the design of the reverse is attributed to Marcel Guilleminet.
The edge of the coin is smooth, without inscriptions or motifs.
