Description

The 1 centime Dupuis coin, minted in France, has a face value of one centime. It is made of bronze and weighs 1 gram, with a diameter of 15 millimeters.

The obverse of the coin features a bust of Liberty facing right. Liberty is wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with a crown. The engraver's signature, DANIEL-DUPUIS, is discreetly engraved below the bust. The legend "REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" is inscribed in capital letters around the bust.

The reverse of the coin features the value "1 CENTIME" as well as the year of issue, surrounded by an olive branch. The motto "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" is inscribed in capital letters on the periphery. The engraver responsible for the design of the reverse is Jean-Baptiste-Daniel Dupuis.
