The 1 centime Cérès 1875 K coin, minted in Bordeaux (workshop identified by the letter "K"), is part of the bronze issues of the French Third Republic. It weighs approximately 1 gram and measures 15 mm in diameter. The obverse is decorated with the bust of Ceres, the goddess of agriculture in Roman mythology, wearing a crown mixing ears of wheat, oak and olive leaves, surrounded by the legend "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". The reverse mentions the value "1 CENTIME", the year "1875", the workshop letter "K" at the bottom, and a laurel wreath framing the whole. The anchor-shaped mint mark, visible under the date, designates the general engraver Jean Lagrange, in office at that time.
