The 1 Centime Ceres 1872 K coin, minted in Bordeaux (workshop identified by the letter "K"), belongs to the series of coins of the French Third Republic, issued following the fall of the Second Empire. Made of bronze, it weighs approximately 1 gram and measures 15 mm in diameter. The obverse is adorned with the bust of Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture, wearing a crown composed of ears of wheat, oak leaves, and olive branches, surrounded by the legend "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE". The reverse displays the value "1 CENTIME", the year "1872", the letter "K" indicating the Bordeaux mint, and a laurel wreath surrounding the whole. The anchor-shaped privy mark, placed under the date, is that of the general engraver Jean Lagrange, in office at the time of the minting.
