 The 1 centime Ceres 1878 A coin, minted in Paris (identified by the letter "A"), is part of the bronze coinage of the French Third Republic. The obverse depicts the bust of Ceres, Roman goddess of agriculture, wearing a crown composed of ears of wheat, oak leaves and olive branches, surrounded by the legend "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE".
