This banknote was issued by the East Caribbean Currency Authority in 1965. It is a 20 dollar note from Series A.
The obverse of the note features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the right. In the center, a depiction of a flying fish is visible, while a map is located on the left. The inscriptions in Latin letters indicate the issuing authority, "EAST CARIBBEAN CURRENCY AUTHORITY", as well as the legal value of the note, "THESE NOTES ARE LEGAL TENDER FOR THE PAYMENT OF ANY AMOUNT". The face value, "TWENTY DOLLARS", is also inscribed.
The reverse of the note illustrates a coastal landscape with rocks and trees. The watermark also features Queen Elizabeth II.
The dimensions of this banknote are 145 mm in length and 69 mm in width.
This banknote is a testament to the monetary history of the Eastern Caribbean and the period when Elizabeth II was the iconic figure of the Commonwealth.
