This Egyptian banknote, with a face value of one Egyptian pound, was issued in 2017. It measures 140 mm long by 70 mm wide.
The front of the banknote features a representation of the Mosque of Sultan Qaitbay, located in the center left of the banknote. The script used on this side is Arabic in Kufic style.
On the back, there is a portion of the facade of the Abu Simbel temple. Bird motifs and other shapes, inspired by the structure erected by Ramses II in front of the Temple of Luxor of Amenophis II, adorn the top and bottom of the banknote in two horizontal bands. The inscriptions on this side are in the Latin alphabet and mention the Central Bank of Egypt as well as the face value of the banknote: "ONE POUND".
The watermark of the banknote represents the mask of Tutankhamun.
