Description

This North Korean banknote has a face value of 10 won. It was issued in 1978.

The front of the banknote features the winged equestrian statue of Ch?llima, located in Pyongyang. This statue is an important symbol of North Korea. The country's national coat of arms is also featured.

The back of the banknote depicts seaside factors.

The banknote measures 150 mm long and 75 mm wide. It has been graded PMG 64, indicating its condition.

Ch?llima is a mythical horse from Korean tradition, often depicted with wings. It symbolizes speed, perseverance, and progress. The Ch?llima statue in Pyongyang is an emblematic monument of the city and the country. Its image on the 10 won banknote reflects the importance of this symbol in North Korean culture.

The national coat of arms of North Korea, also present on the front of the banknote, represents a hydroelectric dam under Mount Paektu, a five-pointed red star, and ears of rice, framed by a red ribbon. These elements symbolize the country's industry, agriculture, and revolutionary spirit.
