The 3 Cuban Peso banknote, issued in 2005, is a specimen from the FB-10 series. It commemorates Ernesto "Che" Guevara, an emblematic figure in Cuban history.
On the front of the banknote, the dominant motif is a brown hue on a beige background. A portrait of Ernesto "Che" Guevara is positioned on the right. The logo of the Central Bank of Cuba is located at the top left, in the center. The face value of "3" is printed, followed by "PESOS". The year of issue "ANO 2005" is also mentioned, as well as the name "ERNESTO GUEVARA".
The back of the banknote depicts Che Guevara performing voluntary work on a sugar cane plantation. The inscription "REPUBLICA DE CUBA" appears at the top, followed by the face value "3" and "PESOS". A legend "CHE - PRECURSOR DEL TRABAJO VOLUNTARIO" accompanies the illustration, highlighting Guevara's role in promoting voluntary work.
The banknote incorporates a watermark representing Celia Sánchez Manduley, an important figure in the Cuban Revolution. The dimensions of the banknote are 150 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
