The face value of the banknote is indicated in the center, both in numbers and in words. The name of the issuing institution, the National Bank of Cuba, appears at the top of the banknote. The coat of arms of the same bank is located at the top right. The dominant color on this side of the banknote is olive green, while the serial numbers are printed in red.
The back of the banknote features an image of Fidel Castro and Camilo Cienfuegos accompanied by the revolutionary army during their entry into Havana on January 8, 1959. The name of the country, Cuba, is inscribed at the top. The face value is repeated in numbers and words in the upper right and lower left. The face value is also indicated in words in the lower right.
This banknote commemorates a historical moment and highlights key figures in Cuban history, including José Martí, an intellectual figure and national hero, as well as Fidel Castro and Camilo Cienfuegos, leaders of the Cuban Revolution.
