This Croatian banknote was issued in 1991. It has a face value of 5 dinars.
The obverse of the banknote features Ru?er Josip Bo?kovi?, a mathematician, astronomer, and physicist. His birth and death dates, 1711 and 1787, are indicated below his name. Geometric calculations are visible in the upper right of the portrait. The inscription "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" is printed at the top of the banknote, with the face value "5" placed to the left of the portrait and in the lower left corner. The signature of the Minister of Finance is also present. The value in words "PET HRVATSKIH DINARA" is printed at the bottom of the banknote.
The reverse of the banknote depicts the Zagreb Cathedral. The inscription "REPUBLIKA HRVATSKA" is printed at the top, and the face value "5" is visible in the upper left and lower right corners. The date "ZAGREB 8. LISTOPADA, 1991" is printed at the bottom, commemorating an event that occurred on October 8, 1991 in Zagreb.
The banknote has a watermark made of lozenges. Its dimensions are 105 mm in length and 55 mm in width.
