The 10 centimes banknote from the Democratic Republic of Congo, issued in 1997, features distinctive characteristics on both the obverse and reverse. Its dimensions are 120 millimeters in length and 70 millimeters in width.
On the obverse, the banknote displays a Pende mask positioned on the left. Inscriptions in Latin identify the issuing institution, namely the Central Bank of Congo, as well as the face value of the banknote, which is "Ten Centimes".
The reverse of the banknote depicts Pende dancers, appearing in the center right of the composition. As on the obverse, the mention of the Central Bank of Congo is inscribed in Latin characters.
The watermark integrated into the security paper represents an okapi head, repeated vertically across the entire surface of the banknote. The face value of "10 centimes" is also integrated into the overall design of the banknote.
This banknote belongs to a series identified by the designation "C-R".
