This 10 Brazilian Cruzeiros banknote, issued in 1974, is part of Series B. It was designed by Aloísio Sérgio Barbosa de Magalhães.
The obverse of the banknote is polychrome, made using a combination of calcography and offset techniques. On the right, there is a portrait of Dom Pedro II, the second Emperor of Brazil, inserted in a circle. The inscriptions on this side include: "BANCO CENTRAL DO BRASIL 10", followed by "10 DEZ CRUZEIROS", and "D. PEDRO II". Also present are the mentions "PRESIDENTE CONSELHO MONETÁRIO" and "PRESIDENTE BANCO CENTRAL".
The reverse of the banknote features a pictorial representation of two sculptures made by Antônio Francisco Lisboa, better known as Aleijadinho. Among these sculptures, that of the prophet Daniel is highlighted in the foreground.
The banknote incorporates a watermark representing the portrait of Dom Pedro II. Its dimensions are 157 mm in length and 73 mm in width.
