Description

This 20 US dollar banknote belongs to the 2017A series, issued by the Federal Reserve of the United States. It is a note from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, identifiable by the letter F, characteristic of this Federal Reserve district. The PFK designation corresponds to the signatures of the US Treasury officials appearing on the note, namely those of the Treasurer of the United States and the Secretary of the Treasury in office at the time of issue.

The front of the note features the portrait of Andrew Jackson, seventh President of the United States, framed by security elements characteristic of modern American banknotes. The reverse of the note depicts the White House, seat of American executive power, accompanied by the face value written in words and in numerals. The dominant color is green, the traditional color of American currency, enhanced with peach tones incorporated during successive graphic reforms aimed at strengthening the security of the notes.

Among the anti-counterfeiting devices present on this note, there is a security thread embedded in the paper, on which "USA TWENTY" and the American flag are printed, visible in transparency by light transmission. A watermark depicting the portrait of Andrew Jackson is also visible in transparency. The color-shifting ink used for the numeral "20" located at the bottom right of the front shifts from copper to green depending on the viewing angle. Microprinting and complex fine lines complete the full set of security measures.
