The 50 taka banknote issued by Bangladesh in 2025 belongs to the series commemorating iconic elements of the country's historical and cultural heritage. This legal tender note has a face value of 50 taka, the official monetary unit of Bangladesh.

One of the central figures associated with this banknote is Mujibur Rahman, founder of Bangladesh and a major political figure in the history of the Indian subcontinent. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also known as "Bangabandhu" (Friend of Bengal), played a decisive role in Bangladesh's independence in 1971. His presence on Bangladeshi banknotes reflects his status as the founding father of the nation.

This banknote also highlights Ahsan Manzil, a prominent historical monument located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This palace, whose name literally means "gracious palace", was built in the 19th century and served as the main residence of the Nawabs of Dhaka. Its distinctive architecture, marked by a characteristic pink dome and an Indo-European style, makes it one of the most recognisable architectural symbols in the country. Now converted into a national museum, Ahsan Manzil preserves numerous testimonies of the history of Dhaka and the Bengal region.
