This banknote is an issue of Austria, dated July 1, 1966. It represents a face value of 1000 schillings. It weighs one gram. This banknote belongs to the DP series.

The obverse of the banknote features a portrait of Bertha von Suttner, an Austrian-Bohemian pacifist and novelist. She was the first Austrian woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1905. The bust is veiled. The inscription on the banknote includes the face value "1000" as well as "TAUSEND SCHILLING" (one thousand schillings). It also includes the mention "OESTERREICHISCHE NATIONALBANK" (National Bank of Austria), as well as the place and date of issue "WIEN AM 1. JULI 1966" (Vienna, July 1, 1966). The terms "PRÄSIDENT", "GÉNÉRALAT" and "GÉNÉRALDIREKTOR" (President, Secretary General and General Manager) are inscribed, followed by the name "BERTHA v. SUTNER" and the mention "FRIEDENSNOBELPREIS 1905" (Nobel Peace Prize 1905). The script used is Latin. The design of the obverse is attributed to Le Hellmann roman.

The reverse of the banknote represents a view of Leopoldskron Palace and Hohensalzburg Fortress, located south of Salzburg. The dimensions of the banknote are 159 mm long and 84 mm wide.
