Description

This Argentine banknote has a face value of 1000 pesos. It was issued between 1976 and 1983. It belongs to Series I.

The front of the banknote features a portrait of General José de San Martín. The portrait faces left. The general's name is inscribed above his portrait. The face value of the banknote, "1000", is printed in numbers in the upper and lower corners of the banknote. The words "Mil Pesos" are also present.

On the back, there is a representation of the Andes Mountains, an emblematic mountain range in South America. The face value "1000" is repeated in the upper and lower corners. The name of the country, "Argentina", is written at the top of the banknote.

This banknote is of type ND, which means "Not Dated", indicating the absence of a specific issue date printed on the banknote itself. The serial number is present on the banknote, allowing for its unique identification. The dominant color of the banknote is a combination of various tones.

This 1000 peso banknote testifies to a period of Argentina's economic history and pays tribute to an important figure in its history, General San Martín.
