The 100 Algerian Dinar banknote, issued in 1970, of the E093 series, presents distinct characteristics on both sides.
On the obverse, the banknote depicts a mountainous landscape that contrasts with a semi-arid environment. This representation includes villages, a prickly pear, and a gazelle, symbolizing various aspects of the Algerian territory. Arabic writing is present, with the inscription "????? ??????? ????????" which means "Central Bank of Algeria." It also features the denomination "???? ?????" (One Hundred Dinars) and the number "???."
On the reverse, the banknote illustrates an agricultural landscape, a symbol of the agrarian revolution, contrasted with an airport. This juxtaposition highlights the two pillars of Algeria's economic evolution at that time. The writing used on this side of the banknote is Latin.
The dimensions of this banknote are 165 mm in length and 90 mm in width.
