UNC Ramón Carrillo (1906-1956) was an Argentine physician and politician who served as the first Minister of Public Health in Argentina. He played a pivotal role in developing Argentina's public healthcare system and advocating for preventive medicine. Cecilia Grierson (1859-1934) was a trailblazing figure in Argentine medicine. She was the first woman to earn a medical degree in Argentina in 1889. She also contributed to improving healthcare for women and children, particularly in the fields of gynecology and pediatrics.
