Bi-metallic (nickel silver centre - cupronickel ring) - 8 5 g - 25 75 mm diameter - 2 20 mm thick.

In 2017 San Marino changed all its national visuals on the euro coins it issues.  The ?2 now depicts a detail of Urbinelli's painting with San Marino carrying the three Towers" of the small republic.

Edge lettering: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by a star all repeated six times alternating right side and reverse.
