By providing detailed notes, calculations and data on Babbage's machine, Lovelace proved prescient in his vision of the capabilities of computer technology. Meanwhile, her advanced numerical work and algorithmic thinking earned her the nickname "the enchantress of numbers" from Babbage himself.
