In 2016, the Austrian Mint launched a collection of coloured creatures that are particularly well suited to introducing children to numismatics: partially coloured, these coins are luminescent in the dark!

This series of 12 coins featuring animals will be issued at the rate of one coin every quarter. After the bat, the crocodile, the tiger, the kingfisher, the wolf, the parrot, the shark, the owl, the frog and the turtle, it's the otter that has been given pride of place. It has a rightful place in this superb collection for its penultimate show!
