In 2023 the French team will be hosting its second Rugby World Cup after 2007. To prepare for this major sporting event, Monnaie de Paris is launching a series of collector coins.

The face illustrates, from left to right, Gaël Fickou, Antoine Dupont and Gregory Aldritt, 3 members of the French team singing La Marseillaise. Their faces are turned towards the future, demonstrating the hope and challenge of the forthcoming World Cup. The reverse side features the silhouette of the players, also looking to the future, with a sandblasted finish.
