10 Euros FRANCE 2024 - Wave 1

Series: France welcomes the Games - Paris 2024 Mascots
Theme: Strasbourg Cathedral

Print run: 75,000 copies
Silver 333 ‰ - 13 g - Ø 31 mm - on card

2024 heralds the arrival of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in France. Monnaie de Paris is once again putting the spotlight on the mascots. These little Phrygian hats are already familiar to the French and embody the spirit of the Games. This year, the mascots symbolise the Games as they arrive and spread throughout France. What better symbol to represent France than the natural and architectural heritage that makes it so beautiful?

On this coin, leaning against a low wall, the mascot smiles mischievously. Nearby is Strasbourg cathedral, on which a stork has made its nest. In the background, half-timbered buildings typical of Alsace recall the architecture of the city.
