On all face values the representation of the Grand Duke Henri. His Royal Highness the Grand Duke, eldest son of Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg, was born on 16 April 1955 in Betzdorf. A graduate in Political Science (Geneva), Literature (USA), Law (USA) and Economics (Thailand), he also holds the rank of Colonel in the Luxembourg army. On 7 October 2000, the Hereditary Grand Duke Henri became Grand Duke of Luxembourg, succeeding his father Grand Duke Jean. In 1981 he married Maria Teresa Mestre, who gave him 4 sons and a daughter.
