Les Monnaies Mérovingiennes - Prou II

 Maurice Prou's catalogue is a faithful reflection of the collections of the Cabinet des Médailles in Paris at the end of the 19th century. 2914 coins are described and 1081 photographed, making this catalogue one of the richest iconographic repertories of Merovingian numismatics. The entries are preceded by a remarkable 120-page introduction, which all numismatists will need to understand this most difficult area of French numismatics.
 In order to make it accessible to a wider audience, Les Chevau-Légers (CGF) are publishing this new edition. In addition to its more manageable format, it is easier to read thanks to plates with systematic cross-references to entry numbers. Two indexes complete this book.
