La Khazneh, « trésor du Pharaon ») ou Khasné, est l'un des monuments les plus connus1 de la cité antique de Pétra en Jordanie. Ce bâtiment est un tombeau nabatéen de type hypogée, dont l'imposante façade est taillée dans le grès. C'est un haut lieu touristique dans la ville et sa région.
It is called ?Pharaoh's Treasure? because for a long time the Bedouin who lived in the area believed that the funerary urn at the top of the tholos contained an important treasure. Bullet holes are still visible on the massive 3.5-metre-high urn, showing that attempts were made to pierce it in order to get at the treasure. As the urn, which is not hollow, and the entire façade surrounding it are carved out of pink ferruginous sandstone, these attempts were unsuccessful
