.Hadrian, also known as the Roman Emperor Hadrian, was a Roman emperor who ruled from AD 117 to 138. Born in 76 AD, Hadrian is often regarded as one of the most accomplished and intellectual emperors in Roman history. He succeeded Emperor Trajan, his cousin, and ruled over a vast empire stretching from Britain to Egypt, including Spain and Mesopotamia.

Hadrian is famous for several accomplishments, including the construction of Hadrian's Wall in Britain to defend the empire against attacks from northern tribes, as well as his promotion of Greek culture throughout the Roman Empire.

He was also known for his relationship with Antinous, a young man whose premature death deeply affected Hadrian, prompting him to honor him in various ways throughout the empire.

Hadrian died in AD 138 and was succeeded by Antoninus Pius. His reign left a lasting mark on Roman history, and his name is often associated with a period of relative stability and prosperity in the empire.
