Takeuchi Sukune (or Takeuchi no Sukune) is a historical figure from ancient Japan. He is renowned for being one of the ministers of Emperor Suinin, the eleventh legendary emperor of Japan. Takeuchi Sukune is particularly known for his role in constructing a more robust administrative and judicial system in ancient Japan.

According to tradition and ancient chronicles of Japan, Takeuchi Sukune lived in the 1st century AD. He was a statesman and a trusted advisor to Emperor Suinin. It is said that he contributed to the organization of the central government and the establishment of a more efficient administration in the country. He would also have been involved in creating laws and regulations to govern society.

Takeuchi Sukune is mentioned in the "Kojiki" and the "Nihon Shoki," two of the oldest historical texts of Japan, which describe the country's mythical history and the genealogy of its rulers. Due to the legendary nature of these ancient accounts, it can be challenging to distinguish historical facts from the mythical and symbolic elements associated with figures like Takeuchi Sukune. However, he is considered an important figure in Japan's ancient history and has left a mark in the mythological and historical narratives of the country.
