On the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018, the Monnaie de Paris presents a series of 5 different coins. The face represents the trophy and the name of the competition, inserted in a set of symbols evoking both football and Russian culture. The visual of the face is the same for the different denominations. The reverse side features a player in the act of shooting. The background is composed of a ball flying through a Russian landscape, symbolised by the bulbs of cathedrals. The design of the reverse side is the same for all denominations except for the value of the coin.
