This 50 centime banknote was issued by the Belfort Chamber of Commerce, in France, following a deliberation dated January 8, 1916. It belongs to series 127.
The front of the banknote features a complex geometric frame. In the center, there is a representation of the obverse and reverse of a 1915 50 centime coin. In the background, the Lion of Belfort is visible. The main inscriptions mention the issuing institution, namely the Belfort Chamber of Commerce, as well as the face value of 50 centimes. The serial number and individual banknote number are also present, in this case, the number 6.874. The mention of the printer, B. Arnaud of Lyon-Paris, also appears on this side.
The back of the banknote is decorated with a frame with geometric patterns.
The banknote does not have a watermark. It was printed by B. Arnaud, a printer based in Villeurbanne, France, active from 1898 to 1990.
