Description

This 10 Francs coin, minted in 1982, comes from a BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) set, which indicates an exceptional state of preservation. The coin's composition is an alloy of copper, aluminum, and nickel. Its diameter is 26 millimeters. The weight is not specified.

The obverse of the coin features a stylized map of France, from which rays emanate. In the center of this map, the intertwined capital letters "RF" are observed, representing the French Republic. The signature "MATHIEU" also appears on this face. The year of issue, 1987, is inscribed on the obverse. The engraver of this face is Georges Mathieu.

The reverse of the coin illustrates an industrial France through stylized representations of cranes, pylons, and buildings. The nominal value "10 FRANCS" is also inscribed on this face. The engraver of this face is Georges Mathieu.

The edge of the coin features an incuse inscription, alternating symbols and words. A laurel branch is followed by the word "LIBERTE", then an olive branch followed by the word "EGALITE", and finally an ear of wheat followed by the word "FRATERNITE". The edge type is designated by the letter "A", indicating a readable edge. The inscription is in Latin characters.
