Polonia and Germania is the fifth coin in Germania Mint's 2022 Allegories series. The entire series depicts personifications of countries from around the world in the form of strong women. The Allegories coins have a diameter of 38 61 mm and four different weights and thicknesses ranging from 3 mm for the 1 oz coin to 25 85 mm for the 10 oz coin, which is exceptional because of its thickness.

As with the previous versions, four different formats are offered: 1 2 5 and 10 oz. The special feature of these issues is that the diameter always remains the same (38 61 mm), the thickness of the bullion coins being the differentiating factor. All versions are offered in 999 9 ‰ silver.

The obverse of the coin features the personifications of Polonia and Germania represented as young women. In former times the female figure embodying the Kingdom of Poland was considered a deity. In Germania Mint's artistic vision, she holds a large shield with an eagle (a symbol of victory and strength). The eagle has been part of the coat of arms since the founding of the first Polish city. Lady Polonia's head is adorned with a crown, the symbol of kings, while Germania is crowned with an oak branch, the tree that has accompanied her since the very beginning of the series. The two heroes stand proudly next to each other, signalling the equality and friendship between the two cultures.

As on the previous series, the image on the reverse is the coat of arms representing moral principles and noble values. Germania was a historic land and was never an official country, so we decided to create our own interpretation of its coat of arms. Its symbols and design are a figment of our imagination, but it has been created in accordance with the current rules of heraldry.
